Hi, I’m Jillian Sanders—a writer and essayist exploring the often-complicated ways we love, lose, grow, and find our way back to ourselves. I spent nearly two decades working in media and storytelling in New York City, and now run a boutique PR agency alongside my writing life in Colorado. These days, I split my time between helping others shape meaningful narratives—and telling my own.

I’m currently at work on my first book, a collection of essays about heartbreak, healing, and the emotional patterns we carry until we finally learn to let them go. My writing has been featured by Oprah Daily, The Today Show, and HuffPost, and is driven by a deep curiosity about what it means to live a life that doesn’t follow the script—but still makes sense in the end.

I write about the moments that undo us—heartbreaks, homecomings, quiet legacies, and the slow work of becoming someone we trust.

I’ve written about falling for someone who seemed ideal but left me questioning everything I believed about love. I’ve told the truth about moving home at 30—broke, burnt out, and forced to redefine success. I’ve explored the quiet legacy of my grandparents’ marriage and how their steadiness shaped my understanding of love. I’ve reflected on my evolving relationship with health, control, and the long, often uncomfortable journey toward self-compassion.

At the heart of it all is a desire to name what we’re so often taught to hide—to give language to the experiences that shape us, change us, and ultimately return us to ourselves.
